Users simply save or drag and drop documents to a standard network folder. Net-It Central does the rest, effortlessly keeping your intranet up-to-date. Users access the documents via a web browser. It improves organizational communication and efficiency and cost saving benefits immediately. |
Creates searchable document libraries |
Net-It Central processes the released document files and creates intranet based text searchable document libraries that mirrors desired file server folder structures, without any concerns of accidental deletion or changes by document consumers. |
Automatically create PDF, Flash, CDL renditions |
Net-it Central monitors configured folders and automatically publishes new or updated files to either PDF, FlashPaper or CDL (a format optimized for "page at a time" searching and delivery). MS Office formats can be optionally converted to viewable HTML documents if desired. Users, based on document site permissions, can access viewable renditions (PDF, etc) and/or "download" the native document files (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) using their web browser. |
Page based access |
When document files are published to CDL, page based optimizations are possible. Users can search the document sites and find desired documents down to the specific pages of interest and then directly view just those pages without having to download the entire document. This feature is very handy for large operational manuals, reports, etc. |

Over 300 Hospitals use Net-It Central for JCAHO compliance around clinical care policy and procedures. Large manufacturing companies use Net-It Central for ISO9000 policy and procedures access. The reasons are: simplicity, cost savings compared to other more complex solutions, and the ability to track by user their indication of reading and understanding a particular policy or procedure. When CDL is used, editing policy and procedure documents is prevented and even printing can be disabled as well as a site configuration. |
Content security |
Users can be restricted from any access to the native document files. When CDL is used, it is very difficult for the user to capture the document and create new unapproved versions of the document. Optionally, our Net-It Now CSF writer can be used to create document files that can be contributed to Net-It Central document sites for an even a higher level of security control. |
Document file servers stay protected |
Greatly reduce SysAdmin/IT security concerns with Net-It Central. Net-It Central only provides users access to "renditions" and/or copies of the document files leaving the original files and folders used by the content authors non-accessible to general users who just need to view released documents. |

Easy to deploy and own |
Net-It Central is not a complex database solution, it doesn't install any live web server components, it doesn't require naming users, setting up groups, establishing workflows, etc. It just monitors folders looking for new or updated documents, convert automatically to desired output format and creates an HTML indexable file that enables standard web server indexing to file the content within the documents (like it does with web pages). It just works without human intervention or monitoring. |
Supported applications & Formats |
Net-It Central is certified with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project, Visio, Publisher) and Word Perfect. Other applications can be scripted to be used by Net-It Central publishing engine. Net-It Central can also open and directly process a number of popular image and drawing formats like AutoCAD, TIFF, PDF, CGM, WMF, HPGL/PLT, etc. These files can be converted into either PDF or CDL document representations. |
Customizable |
Net-It Cental comes with a set of HTML templates to create a document library site "look". This templates can be customized to match the current style and look of your existing intranet web site or to blend document access into page interface menus and links. |
